The Damian Mills Junior Cricket Award is open to all junior cricketers between the ages of 15 and 21 years of age. To be eligible for the 2009 award you were born between June 15, 1988 and June 15, 1994. The applicant must meet the following criteria: a. Must volunteer in the sport of cricket. b. Must be a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant. c. Must have demonstrated above average cricketing abilities. d. Must be enrolled in the Manitoba Cricket Association’s training programs. e. Must not have previously received this award more than once. In order to be considered for the Damian Mills Junior Cricket Award, candidates must complete and submit the application form in Microsoft Word format with three completed reference forms. The reference forms must be completed by three referees, one of which must be from a non-cricketing perspective. The referee must complete the forms and return it to the applicant in a sealed envelope. The applicant will then submit the three sealed envelopes together with their application. The Application package must be post-marked by June 15th of the current year. Forms received after June 15th will not be considered and will not be retained for subsequent years. No part of the application will be returned. Selection Process · A preliminary review of applicants will be made on the basis of the submitted application and references. · Suitable applicants may be invited to a personal interview. · The Board of Trustees will make the decision of the award. · The Board of Trustees will make the final decision which is considered final and binding. |
